Not feeling great? Not sure where to turn next? Drift Acupuncture & Wellness can help.

Drift is devoted to assisting patients with their goals of health, healing and personal growth.
Acupuncture, an ancient Chinese medical practice, has been helping people heal for centuries, and continues to do so. By utilizing a constitutionally based style of acupuncture, treatments are customized to suit each individual's specific needs. Treatments are holistic in nature, and address both body and mind, resulting in a more natural progression towards a state of wellbeing.
Simply stated, our mission is to help you feel better.

"When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be."

PHILOSOPHY

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”

― Rumi

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture uses fine, single use, stainless steel needles to stimulate points located throughout the body. The goal of the procedure is to stimulate "qi" or energy, and to restore its natural flow throughout the system. There is little to no pain associated with needling, and can elicit a relaxing calming sensation. In fact, I have had several patients drift off into a peaceful nap while the needles are in.

Since every patient is different, the number of treatments needed to relieve a condition varies. Can acupuncture resolve a patient's issue in 1 visit? Realistically speaking, not usually, though you can never truly rule that out. I typically advise that patients commit to weekly visits over the course of 5 to 10 weeks in order to experience the effects of what acupuncture can do. Working closely with each patient, I keep track of improvements, and treatment progress to ensure that what we are doing is working for them. If necessary, I am happy to refer out.

CUPPING & GUA SHA

Needles aren't the only tools used in assisting patients...both Cupping and Gua Sha are techniques used to stimulate energy flow, sooth aching muscles, and to break up stagnation throughout the body. These procedures can be added to your acupuncture treatment plan, or done completely on their own.

MOXIBUSTION

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy which consists of burning the dried Chinese herb mugwort on particular points found throughout the body. It is used to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi, and maintain general health. This treatment combined with acupuncture can have a powerful effect on mind, body and spirit.
