The intake process is the first step on the road to wellness. It involves getting a full medical history, determining the main complaint and goals of treatment, performing a physical examination, and finishing up with the first acupuncture treatment itself. The intake is a wonderful time to not only get acquainted with what an acupuncture treatment is like, but to ask questions, and set expectations for the treatment process.

Acupuncture Treatment...
Acupuncture treatments last about an hour, and are generally very calming and gentle in nature. Patients have been known to become so relaxed that a nap during treatment might even result. Cupping and/or Gua Sha may also be added to your treatment when appropriate. I typically recommend that patients receive a minimum of 5 treatments to serve as a foundation to healing.

Since this treatment involves acupuncture points found throughout the face, a few wonderful side effects of this procedure can include stress relief, increased energy, improved digestion and reduced insomnia. 10 treatments are recommended in order to experience optimal results. With maintenance, the effects can last between 3 and 5 years.
